Detailed
The results of the voting held on Wednesday in the second phase of the municipal elections will start coming after noon on December 30. If the automatic system and safety that the State Election Commission has talked about for the counting of votes is effective, then the machine itself will issue a certificate for the winner of the number game. State Election Commissioner Deepak Prasad told in a press conference on Wednesday evening that this time the counting will be done through automatic system. There will be zero possibility of manual and tampering. The machine itself will count and add the votes of each candidate and then after matching it will extract a certificate of victory in the name of the winner of the number game.
EVM under digital lock and camera surveillance
He told that all the preparations regarding the counting of votes have been completed. Along with the digital lock in the strong room at the counting center, cameras have been installed at all places. The siren will start sounding whenever the lock is opened. The advantage of this will be that the candidates can see the status of their lock even while sitting at home. Due to this, the situation of transparency will be maintained, because many times people get confused that anyone can open the strong room.
Count up to 11 rounds, everyone’s share
He elaborated that the counting would be done with OCR technology. The advantage of this technique is that the machine will announce the result while counting the votes. Separate arrangements will be made for the media and supporters of the candidates. The counting will go on for 11 rounds. The counting of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be done in different parts. Similarly, there will be a separate part for the counting of each corporator seat. AN College in Patna has been made the counting venue. Therefore, on the day of counting, the traffic arrangement around Boring Road will be changed.
